Description:
Al-Wahda al-'Arabiyya (Arab Unity) was a daily political newspaper that was published in Jerusalem beginning in 1933. The owner was Emile al-Ghoury, who was Secretary of the Arab Higher Committee (AHC) and also the general secretary of the Palestine Arab Party. The editor-in-chief was Nafidh al-Husseini, and the secretary of the editor was Youssef Francis. In 1934, some issues of the newspaper were published in English. The newspaper criticized government policies toward the Palestinians in general and towards the freedom of the Arabic press in particular, since the latter was suffering from government restrictions and the closure of newspapers.
