⁨⁨Al-Bushra⁩ - ⁨البشرى⁩⁩

Al-Bushra was a monthly religious journal published by the Haifa-based Ahmadiyya community. The journal focused on religious and ethical sermons with selected passages from the Quran and other Islamic sources. The messianic question are the sharp dispute between the Ahmadi and Bahai communities are prominent in its content and message. Until at least 1948 the journal’s editorial board voiced its opposition to the Partition Plan and viewed it as a historic injustice against the resident Arab population. Following the events of 1948, the journal became a stage for political subjects that it had not addressed previously, such as debates about communist, social-democratic, and other political alternatives.
