Al-Ma'ad (The Appointment) was a weekly newspaper focused on news and politics. The license holder was J. Doumat, and the owner and editor-in-chief was Michel Salim Najjar. The newspaper serialized popular novels and also published news from Arab countries, advertisements, and new books. On the first page of its first issue published on October 12, 1928, the newspaper described itself as serving commerce and industry. It tried to attract advertising by touting its printing press, one of the largest Arabic presses in Palestine. The last issue was published in December 1929.
